Cell Phone warranties are useless!

I had a Motorola phone which failed a little more than halfway through the warranty period.
Returning it to Edmonton Cellular I was told there would be no repair or replacement.
Since I refused to spend another $300 on a new phone or pay for a service I could no longer recieve, my account was forwarded to collections. The black spot on my credit record will expire soon - but I will NEVER deal with Telus again! They made zero effort to retain my business.
